CROWN LANDS NSW
Greater Sydney’s current population of 4.7 million is projected to grow to over 8 million in the next 40 years, presenting both challenges and opportunities for the city.
In response, the NSW Government has set a clear vision to enhance Greater Sydney’s status as one of the most liveable global cities. In accordance with ‘A Metropolis of Three Cities’, their vision is to create a collaborative city, a city for people, a well-connected city and a city of great places. Integral to the vision for Greater Sydney is a commitment to create opportunities to access more quality green, open and public space that will increase tree canopy, enhance community connection, enable greater outdoor activity and promote health and wellbeing.

OUR RESULTS
what we are working on in 2023

West End Place Transition
To Good Use have been working with Trenerry Property on the revitalisation of their precinct in West Melbourne, West End for almost a year. Our role has been to develop and execute a unique strategy for attracting and retaining small, local businesses to take up vacant space within the precinct. Working closely with Studio Perspective, the campaign has been very successful, reducing the vacancy rate from over 50% to under 20%. We are now project managing the delivery of activations and fit-outs, and setting up the place management team to take over in July 2023.
Kinglake Walking Trail
To Good Use is currently working with Roscorp, supporting the team with the delivery of a walking trail that will open up previously inaccessible and under-utilised private land for public enjoyment. We helped the team gain a grant from the government to deliver the project, and are now responsible for stakeholder and community engagement, input into trail design and planning for how the site can be effectively managed into the future.

Devonport Showgrounds
To Good Use are currently working with the owners of the Devonport Showgrounds to develop a place framework and transition plan for the site that aims to guide it towards the visionary, sustainable neighbourhood it is set to become.
Arden North Vision
To Good Use are currently supporting key stakeholders in developing a vision for Arden North to cement their place as a key anchor of that evolving precinct for another 150 years.

Western Sydney Aerotropolis
To Good Use have been involved in the planning for land-use around Sydney Aerotropolis, specifically looking at opportunities to restore, protect and connect Wianamatta South Creek and surrounding landscape through land revitalisation and acquisition.
Griffith University Masterplan
To Good Use worked in partnership with Urbis and Cultural Capital on the vision and masterplan for the Griffith University campus in Nathan. In an enviable location surrounded forest, we are looking at ways the assets can be optimised to meet current needs and future opportunities.

East Village
In partnership with Studio Perspective, To Good Use completed a place vision for the owners of East Village - a large infill mixed use opportunity in East Bentleigh, Melbourne.
The Commons Impact Report
To Good Use worked with Small Giants Developments to prepare an impact report for their latest project - The Commons Hobart. The report will capture and share all their amazing commitments to positive impact on people and place.
